Toddler reborns sit at the opposite end of the size range from newborn sculpts — fuller proportions, heavier bodies, and a different set of practical constraints. Here is what changes, and what to check before ordering.
A toddler reborn follows the proportions of a child of roughly one to three years rather than a newborn: a larger body relative to the head, longer limbs, more defined features and a fuller build. Where a newborn doll is curled and passive, a toddler sculpt reads as a child who sits, reaches and moves.
In our line these run from about 20″ to 26″, the largest size we produce.
The size step changes what the doll is for. Newborn-scale dolls are about being held and are almost all 18″ (45–46 cm). Toddler dolls are more often displayed seated, dressed in real toddler clothing, or used as an older-sibling subject for photography and storytelling.
Weight does not scale the way people expect: our 22″ vinyl toddler runs 950–1,370 g, while an 18″ full-body silicone newborn can reach 3,630 g. A larger doll is not automatically a heavier one — material decides that. Full size and weight tables are on the newborn dolls page.
Because toddler sculpts have more surface area and more limb articulation to paint, vinyl and cloth-body vinyl are the practical choice at this size — lighter to handle and far less expensive than an equivalent volume of silicone.
Weighting is harder to get right at toddler scale. An infant’s weight is concentrated low and settles; a toddler’s should feel more upright and top-heavier in the torso, which is why getting it wrong makes the doll read as a mannequin. If weight matters to you, specify the target number at brief stage rather than approving a sample and hoping.
A plain statement that will save disappointment: a soft-bodied reborn toddler cannot stand unaided, whatever a listing may imply. Cloth bodies need support; silicone bodies without an armature will not hold an upright pose either. Manufacturers who claim otherwise are photographing a doll propped from behind.
What toddler dolls do well is sit. Cloth-body construction with jointed limbs holds a seated pose convincingly, which is how most collectors display them. If you need standing, you need a display stand — and you should ask whether one is supplied.
At 20″–26″, these are substantial objects and most are bought to be displayed rather than carried. Real toddler clothing in 6–12 month or 12–18 month sizes usually fits, which is a large part of the appeal: dressing them is inexpensive and easy to change.
For younger children, weight is the deciding factor, not size. A 1,200 g doll is manageable; anything substantially heavier should be treated as a display piece regardless of how it looks.
Browse toddler models in our reborn doll catalogue and request price and availability. For a specific sculpt, skin tone, hair type or outfit, custom work is the same process as for any other size — brief, sample, sealed approval, production.
For retail and care buyers, toddler dolls are quoted EXW or FOB, with clothing and labelling specified. Only HF-series models have a minimum order quantity; other series have no minimum order quantity. See custom reborn dolls or wholesale & OEM/ODM.

FAQ
A reborn doll built to the proportions of a child around one to three years old: larger body relative to the head, longer limbs, more defined features and a more upright build than a newborn sculpt. In our line they run from about 20 to 26 inches.
Typically 20″ to 26″, against 16″–18″ for newborn-scale dolls. 6–12 month or 12–18 month toddler clothing generally fits, which makes dressing them straightforward and inexpensive.
Not unaided. Soft-bodied dolls and silicone bodies without an internal armature will not hold an upright pose, and listings claiming otherwise are usually propped from behind. Toddler sculpts sit convincingly; standing requires a display stand.
Not necessarily. A 22″ vinyl toddler weighs 950–1,370 g, while an 18″ full-body silicone newborn can reach 3,630 g. Material determines weight far more than size does.
Vinyl or cloth-body vinyl suits this size best: lighter to handle, far less expensive than an equivalent volume of silicone, and easier to pose seated. Silicone toddler sculptures are possible but heavy, costly and limited in poseability.
Yes — with sculpt, material, weighting, clothing and labelling specified per order, EXW or FOB. Only HF-series models have a minimum order quantity; other series have no minimum order quantity.
