Guides
The category has a scam problem, and it is concentrated in exactly the places that are easiest to find. Here is how the buying routes actually compare, and the checks that separate a real supplier from a listing.
| Route | Best for | Main risk |
|---|---|---|
| Marketplaces | Low-cost single units | Misrepresented material, no recourse |
| Artist direct | Unique, high-finish pieces | Long waits, no warranty |
| Factory direct | Volume, custom specification | HF-series MOQ, longer lead times |
| Model catalogue | Choosing a model before ordering | Availability confirmed on request |
There is no universally correct route — only the one that matches your order size and what you need to be true about the doll.
Marketplaces are where most first purchases happen and where most disappointments originate. The platform protects the transaction, not the description: if the listing says full silicone and the doll arrives vinyl, you have a returns process rather than a remedy. Material misdescription is widespread because it is hard to disprove from photographs.
Artist sites are the opposite trade. You get genuine craft and a person accountable for it, at a price that reflects their hours, with waiting lists measured in months and typically no returns on commissioned work. Buy from an artist when uniqueness is the point.
Buying from the manufacturer is the right route when you need specification, volume or documentation. You set size, material, paint grade and weighting against your own requirement, and you get test reports and consistent reorders rather than whatever the catalogue holds.
Only HF-series models have a minimum order quantity; other series have no minimum order quantity. Production timing is confirmed with your order, and you are dealing with export terms rather than a checkout button. Use our reborn doll catalogue to choose a model and request a quote before agreeing to an order. See wholesale & OEM/ODM.
Five questions, and the answers are as informative as the content:
A serious supplier answers all five without hedging. Vague or defensive answers are the signal.
For single units, expect express courier with tracking and duties payable on arrival. Declared value should match what you paid — any seller offering to under-declare is creating a customs problem in your name, not theirs.
On returns: transit damage should be raised immediately and photographically, before any attempt to repair. Most surface damage to vinyl and silicone is repairable at the workshop, which is often a better outcome than a return. Change-of-mind returns are typically accepted on unused stock items but not on commissioned or custom pieces, for obvious reasons. Our shop page sets out how we handle both.

FAQ
It depends on your order. Marketplaces suit cheap single units, artists suit unique high-finish pieces, and the manufacturer suits specification, volume and documented compliance. There is no single best route, only the one that matches what you need to be true about the doll.
Check the weight is stated, the material is plausible for the price, the photographs are not reused stock imagery, the safety standard is named, and payment stays inside the platform. Any seller who cannot answer 'what does it weigh' has not made the doll.
Yes, with checks. Buy from sellers who state measured weight, paint specification and the applicable safety standard, and who will send unretouched photographs. The risk is concentrated in listings that describe a doll vaguely while pricing it aggressively.
An artist for a unique piece and one-off craft, priced in hours. A factory for consistent, repeatable units with documented compliance, priced against volume. Asking an artist to scale up to thousands, or a factory to produce a single irreplaceable artwork, usually disappoints both sides.
Measured weight in grams, number of paint layers, whether hair is rooted or painted, which safety standard applies with a report to match, and photographs of the actual unit rather than a catalogue image.
Yes. Single units ship worldwide by express courier with tracking, and import duties are payable by the buyer at destination. Production orders ship EXW or FOB with your own forwarder welcome.
