Full Body Silicone Baby Dolls

A full body silicone baby doll is solid silicone throughout — including the torso — which is what produces the weight and the squeeze. This page covers cure types, softness, realistic lifespan, pricing, and what to specify when ordering.

What full body silicone means

Full body means every part — head, limbs and torso — is cast in solid silicone, with no cloth section anywhere. Nothing is hollow. That single fact drives everything else about the doll: the weight, how it moves, how it is cleaned, and what it costs.

Our own line runs around fifty solid-silicone styles, mostly in the 16″–24″ range. At 18″ they weigh 2,965–3,630 g, roughly what a real newborn weighs — which is exactly the effect buyers are paying for. Compare that with partial silicone, where the torso is cloth and the same scale comes in at a third of the weight.

Platinum cure vs tin cure

Platinum cure (addition cure) is the premium grade. It cures cleanly with no by-products, has almost no odour, resists yellowing, and holds paint adhesion far better over years. It is also more expensive, and it can be inhibited by certain contaminants — which is why the workshop conditions matter as much as the material.

Tin cure (condensation cure) is cheaper and softer to start with, but it releases alcohol as it cures, can shrink slightly, yellows faster under UV, and tends to degrade sooner. For artist-grade work and any export order we specify platinum by default. More detail on the platinum silicone page.

Softness, weight and poseability

Softness is set by the shore hardness specified in the pour — softer reads better in the hand but is more prone to tearing at thin edges like fingers. We tune it per sculpt rather than using one formula everywhere.

Poseability is limited by physics: an all-silicone body with an internal armature can hold a sitting pose, but it will not do what a cloth body manages. NB: a solid silicone toddler cannot stand unaided, whatever the listing claims. Weight, meanwhile, is both the best feature and the practical drawback — 3,630 g is a lot for a child to carry safely.

Durability and long-term care

Handled properly, full body silicone lasts decades. The rules that matter: keep it out of direct sunlight, since UV both dulls paint and accelerates silicone breakdown; avoid solvents, alcohol wipes and silicone-based lubricants; dress it in soft cotton, because dark synthetic dye transfers permanently onto light silicone.

Routine cleaning is a soft damp cloth with mild soap. Be careful around jewellery, pet claws and anything sharp — tears at thin sections are the most common damage, but because we keep both the tooling and the paint formulation in-house, surface damage is usually repairable rather than terminal.

Full body silicone price ranges

Full body commands the top tier of the whole category, for two compounding reasons: it uses far more material than partial silicone or vinyl, and it demands the most finishing hours. Size multiplies both — a 24″ piece contains several times the material of a 16″ one.

Within full body, the other big lever is cure type and paint grade: platinum at artist grade is the most expensive configuration we offer. If your budget is fixed, the honest trade is usually size downward rather than material — a smaller full-silicone doll beats a large vinyl one on effect. See the reborn doll price guide.

Ordering full body silicone wholesale

Only HF-series models have a minimum order quantity; other series have no minimum order quantity. EXW or FOB terms are available, with your forwarder welcome. Specify: sculpt, size, shore hardness, cure type (we recommend platinum for export), paint grade, hair type and colour, eye colour, whether the mouth is open or closed, weighting target, and your labelling and packaging.

Both Children’s-product applicable standards we test against are named on every quote — ASTM F963 for the US and EN71 for the EU. Start a specification on the custom dolls page or request pricing via OEM/ODM.

FAQ

Questions we get before a first order

What is a full body silicone baby doll?

A doll cast in solid silicone throughout, including the torso — no cloth sections, no hollow parts. That is what produces the weight and the squeeze. Partial silicone dolls instead pair a silicone head and limbs with a cloth torso, making them far lighter.

Is platinum or tin cure silicone better?

Platinum, clearly, for anything you intend to keep or export. It cures without by-products, barely smells, resists yellowing and holds paint adhesion for years. Tin cure is cheaper but yellows faster and degrades sooner. We specify platinum by default.

How much does a full body silicone doll cost?

It is the top tier of the category, because it uses the most material and demands the most finishing hours. Size multiplies both substantial — a 24″ piece costs several times a 16″ one. Our price guide lists the bands by size and grade.

Can a full body silicone doll be bathed?

It is fully water-safe, since there is no cloth interior to trap moisture, so gentle bathing is fine. Use mild soap, avoid solvents entirely, and dry thoroughly. Just keep it out of direct sunlight afterwards, which is what actually shortens a doll's life.

How long does full body silicone last?

Decades with basic care. Keep it out of direct sun, clean with a damp cloth rather than solvents, and avoid sharp objects near thin sections. Platinum-cure pieces hold both their colour and their elasticity considerably longer than tin-cure ones.

Do you make full body silicone dolls wholesale?

Yes — with size, shore hardness, cure type, paint grade, hair, weighting and labelling all specified per order. Only HF-series models have a minimum order quantity; other series have no minimum order quantity. We test to ASTM F963 and EN71 and name the applicable standard on every quote.
